In 1973 The Three Degrees (line up: Sheila Ferguson, Fayette Pinkney (R.I.P.) and Valerie Holiday) joined Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff on their label 'Philadelphia International Records'. The first album (recently released on CD by Big Break Records) for the label gave them their first number one hit ever with 'Dirty ol' man' (in Belgium and Holland).
